Summer days. I can't handle them well. Basics, as little black as possible and only earrings for statement, as they don't stick to my skin. And the truth is, I don't really go out before 5pm on very sunny days haha. Child of nightlife, i guess. How are you guys dealing with the heat ? I don't even know how to look slightly cool on days like these. So i'm not even trying hard.

This year in July the young brand GLAW presented their collection on a runway for the first time. The two designers, Jesko Wilke and Maria Poweleit, graduated from ESMOD just two years ago and kicked it off with their high end brand right away. Only two years after graduation, they were offered a runway show at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Berlin already. They love to work with leather and silk and their aim is to create an "urban elegance with a slight touch of psychedelic femininity". I have got to admit, even though iam not really a fan of all that I saw, some of the pieces are quite freaking cute (see the whole collection here)!
I love how the shoes go so well with the pieces as well. One day with Jules

Hey kids. I want to share with you the results of my photo shooting with the lovely Jules for her blog Herz und Blut. I had been to her blog before and just knew that I would love to get my pictures taken by her. You know, if photographers ask me for a photo shooting I don't always say yes, not because Iam being arrogant, but because sometimes I don't like their style. I mean it's not that easy shooting me, believe me, my boyfriend is struggling every single time to fulfill my expectations. But if i know beforehand that i will definitely not be happy with the results because of someone's personal style, i will not agree to a shooting. But on the other hand when someone asks me, and i see their photos and i love them, i get really excited about getting my photos taken. So that's why I couldn't wait to meet Jules and have the shooting with her ! She is such a warm and bubbly and gorgeous person, I liked her the very minute I met her. I didn't feel awkward at all. Jules loves photography so please check out her portfolio, share some love on Facebook by giving it a like and check out her blog for more impressions of me. There is also an interview, in German though.

I also got to meet Linda from Looks Like Berlin on that occasion, who is a super cool girl with a unique style. She got some photos taken by Jules as well. If you are a blogger and your friend is a photographer that definitely needs to be made advantage of ! I had a great time with the two girls and am glad that I didn't cancel the shooting. Because actually i went to a party the night before and was really really not eager to get up early.

After our shooting Jules offered to accompany me to the THU THU sample sale on Torstrasse. I was so looking forward to it, because i absolutely love that brand ! Iam not really a very colourful person, but i love highlights in my wardrobe, and THU THU designs are absolutely gorgeous. The designer is a Vietnamese girl from Germany, based in London and she seemed to be really nice. Even though I couldn't afford anything, Iam still happy enough that I could try them on.

Alice M. Huynh // "Starbucks discoveries" Fashion Show Berlin

Let's say that i have been knowing Alice for quite some time. Ever since she first started her blog, which is a long time ago already haha. Time flies. Throughout the years claiming recognition, working hard, last night she once again proved that she is capable and got all it takes to stand firm in the fashion industry. Just from watching her afar you feel proud already. And you just know that she will make it big. All the best from me Alice !

Iam not very good at objective writing, describing things and stuff, but i loved her collection. I would wear her designs if i was looking for more sophisticated, avant-garde pieces. I loved the hair and make-up concept. The whole collection was presented very professionally. I was and am amazed.

When i see Alice it makes me want to work harder. Success doesn't come for free. If you work hard, it will be paid off. And iam sure we all will see much more of her than we already have in the future.

Here some more impressions of the event. I don't have any images of the collection pieces itself because my boyfriend took all the pictures and suddenly he was gone somewhere. But iam sure some other bloggers will post them sooner or later.

boots du jour

boots - Zara

The weather in Germany is crazy. It gets really hot and then out of nowhere we suddenly have 12 degrees again. Strongest sunshine and heavy rainfalls. As for the rainy days i like to keep my feet dry with these heeled boots from Zara. They are really comfortable and waterproof as well ! Is the weather just as mad in your region ?

No full outfit post today because a good DSLR is hard to handle and the photos sometimes turn out even shitter if you can't use it, than pictures from a small compact camera. And if you are not good at retouching either everything's lost. Lesson learned. Good camera and lens is not equal to good pictures.
