28.08.10 outfit - a view back.

As the title already says, this is not a recent outfit of mine but old pictures from autumn 2010. Going through my old blogs and pictures i always start realizing how i have changed over the months and years. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. When it comes to my choice of appearance and clothes i must say iam not happy with the developement at all. Ever since i broke up with my ex boyfriend in Feb 2011 i have gained a good 5kgs and am not happy with my body at all. I got my hair chopped off by some dumbass vietnamese hairdresser by SO much, that i absolutely hate my hair right now. When iam in my hometown all i do on a regular base is working, ten to eleven hours a day. As a result i started neglecting my looks, telling myself, 'Oh its just work, no need to dress nicely. Jeans, shirt and sneakers will do.' What a big mistake. Wearing jeans, shirt and sneakers became such a comfortable and bad habit.

All these factors lead to me dressing... TOO casual. Even for my taste haha. Iam having some kind of low phase right now, its horrible. I know its up to me, the way i dress, but for some reason... my laziness wins over everything. Not good, cos recently i dont feel pretty at all and when i go to town id rather not be seen by people i know. The way you dress has such a great impact on how you feel. And the way you feel has a great impact on the way you dress.

When i look at these pictures i hardly believe i once brought up the effort to paint my nails haha.

Ultra speedy update before i go to sleep. I can't help but notice how jank (for lack of better terms) I look here. But I guess it serves me right for all the consecutive days of not brushing my hair, sleeping like a fish, and taking coffee and nutrition bar as my entire food pyramid.  I ''borrowed'' this shirt from my boyfriend in the summer and have been sleeping in it since. What has everyone been up to? 
 What have I been up to? Sadly, nothing too grand. Mostly going to classes and catching up with deadlines with much caffeination and lack of sleep thrown somewhere in the mix. I did have some free time to get some outfits photos taken on the weekend. 

The photographs are what I wore a few days back. Apologies for the delay!These were taken in my garage and i never thought the lighting would be that nice down there.

 This gorgeous pair of boots has been in my closet for months. When i first received it as a gift I remember wondering, “ When am I going to wear this?” .Of course,  now I love it and can imagine wearing it over all kinds of plain outfits .

In The Spirit of 'TET'

Leather jacket + Tank Top + Shoes - all Balmain, Skinny Pants - Zara

 I've been completely obsessed with the Balmain SS11 collection for an unhealthy number of months, so when it came time to select a few pieces from the Harrods Sale, I found myself gravitating towards this incredible safety pin tank top. I think it is a perfect match with my red jacket that i got in Paris last summer. 

In other news, I've been playing around with some new layouts for this site and have decided on one. It'll be coded up in no time. It's a cleaner and classier aesthetic that I hope you'll enjoy. Of course , i will be discussing with my girl Julia before hand. In terms of content, I'm pushing to update more, not specifically outfit posts (I'm feeling a bit 'been-there-done-that' with those), but with more photography, general inspiration, and tutorial (if i can).

I guess the best thing about having a park next to your house is the fact that it is a perfect place to go when you have nothing to do, or just to enjoy the best of fresh air. The weather was illegally bad these days , you can never complain enough about English weather. However, i love the smell of the rain somehow since it feels so refreshingly calm.  Stay in tuned for more !

In collaboration with my boy Thai Pham from Saigon iam proudly able to present you these awsome impressions my new cape, which i found at "the black market" in Singapore. A shop i can more than just highly recommend for everyone who loves black, as the name of the shop probably already suggests, plain and edgy cuts, just like me. I spent two days in Singapore, shopping like crazy. It was heavenly ! The sandals are new as well, freaking 20S$, bargain to the max !!!

To keep a steady aesthetical flow in the arrangement of the pictures i decided to post all pictures as they were : black&white. Don't you think my friend did a great job ? Because b/w photography is seriously not an easy task to master. Iam quite proud and happy about the result, i hope you guys like it too !

This editorial is just pure love at the first sight. The styling is so adorable , i love how Tao's hair were kept simple and her make up was lightly done, in contrast with the busy streets and the crowd full of passer - bys.

Hibernation

This might sound crazy but the fact that i haven't been this light since 2004 make me cringe sometimes. I finally learnt to be good with myself s and i guess it paid off. I did lose 6 kg for the past 3 months and it required a lot of hard work. No pain , no gain. I still remember the time when i used to marathon with my weight 2 weeks prior to my flight back home, just to look good at the airport. that was when i lost 2-3 kg but that was purely accidental, kind of like how people lost their kids in a grocery store...you get it back no matter fast you hide. Never again. I hope i could inherit that fast speed of metabolism from my mother and have two pieces of pizza with desert at the same time without feeling so guilty.  I’ve also been catching myself in the mirror and realise I look exceptionally round’, or ‘fat’, but that conversation with the reflection usually ends with ‘dude shut up, you are not’ and I end up smearing toothpaste at the mirror, crying and that is not gonna happen again...

On a seperate note, i am so pleased to hear that Moschino Cheap & Chic and Stella McCartney will be showing their collection at LFW next month. Do stay in tuned for more updates to come !
