Throughout my life Japanese fashion magazines have always been my greatest inspiration. I just love everything the Japanese do, i cant help it. Ex-Otaku turned fashion lover i have always kept an eye on Japan and also its fashion szene, and first learned about Vivi and gyaru style and everything when i was 13. Never stopped loving the gyaru magazines, Popteen, Vivi, etc. I still download them every now and then when i lack inspiration. I sometimes even try the make-up and hair tutorials when i can be bothered to ! Vivi used to be much much much more girly back in the days, but thanks to the influence of blogs, new fashion icons and trends it has gotten an edgy touch to it. I dont know who the stylists are, but i love them. Unlike western fashion magazines Japanese magazines are filled with outfits and clothes, a lot of eye candy, thats why i love them even though i cant read a word. Interning at Elle i know how exhausting it is to borrow clothes everytime, i wonder how many stylists Vivi has and whether their stylists have to go borrow their clothes themselves, too, or whether they get samples sent to the studio and then all they have to do is get the pictures taken. 

Anyway, if you have a Japanese magazine shop in your town, go check it out for Vivi magazine ! My favourite fashion magazine ever ! (After Vivi its Vogue Nippon btw)
